It looks like Jessica Lowndes and Chad Michael Murray are your next Christmas movie dynamic duo! The two actors popped up on Jessica’s Instagram story this week from the set of their new festive feature, which is supposedly titled “Too Close for Christmas”.

Considering their filmography history with the Hallmark networks, I believe this movie is set to premiere this holiday season for either Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas lineup, or on its sister network, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries for the Miracles of Christmas event.

While we know the characters they play are Paul and Hayley, I’m looking forward to learning more about the plot and the possible final film title. In the meantime, head on over to Jessica and Chad‘s Instagrams to follow the behind-the-scenes sneak peeks as they continue to finish the movie.

(Updated 10/18/20): Chad and Jessica have wrapped their Christmas movie, but they actually just wrapped a second film they did right after, which appears to be set to during autumn. It’s called “Tycoon’s Kiss” (possibly a working title), so keep a look out for that one too!

(Updated 11/10/20): Surprise! It turns out that Too Close for Christmas will be part of Lifetime’s 2020 It’s A Wonderful Lifetime programming event, and will premiere on Friday, December 4th at 8pm/7c! I’ve included some details below, including the synopsis.

When Hayley (Lowndes) accepts an invitation to spend Christmas with her sister’s new in-laws, her seemingly perfect holiday takes a turn when Luke (Murray), Hayley’s brother-in-law’s brother, unexpectedly shows up. Still harboring a grudge against Luke for ending her last relationship, Hayley reluctantly spends time with Luke and slowly realizes she may have been too quick a judge on Luke.

Too Close for Christmas is directed by Ernie Barbarash from a script by Nicole Baxter. Produced by HP Christmas Magic Productions Inc., and is executive produced by Brad Krevoy, Amy Krell, Amanda Phillips Atkins, Eric Jarboe, Ernie Barbarash, Nicole Baxter, Micheline Blais, Susie Belzberg Krevoy, Chad Michael Murray and Jessica Lowndes.

Note: IMDb has Chad’s character listed as Paul, but Lifetime credits the role as Luke.
